The STAGS met up on a very hot Sunday morning in the Warwickshire sunshine at the always impressive Stoneleigh Deer Park for breakfast at 9.30am.
Unfortunately for me I was unable to attend due to a prior engagement but the ever reliable Chris McGrath amiably stood in for me. Which will [thankfully?] also mean that there will be no anecdotal ditties!
It was decided on the day that today’s match would be a stroke play pairs competition as the attendance was an even 16.
Our nearest the pins were won today by Handicap secretary Billy Noonan on the 9th and our Vice Chairman Ges Tierney on the 15th.
The lucky couple who get to own their very own ball marker were James Homer and the POY elect Mr Mark Jones with a very impressive net score of 138.
