Finally, after a 2 year delay because of the Pandemic, the STAGS 20th Anniversary trip to Ireland got under way.
And what an absolutely brilliant weekend it turned out to be, thoroughly enjoyed by all 24 who attended, massive thanks to Brendan Reilly & Les Gwillym for organising.
And also massive thanks to Royal Tara GC, Killeen Castle GC & Knightsbrook Hotel and Golf Resort, where we were staying, for their amazing hospitality and friendly welcome.
They are 3 top golf courses, which were all different in their own way, but all very challenging.
But the unanimous vote for top course of the weekend went to Killeen Castle GC.
Also a big shout out to all the pubs and Curry House we visited in Trim for their friendly welcome and amazing hospitality.
And for the 13 of us who stayed the extra night to have the Saturday night experience in Temple Bar, thank you Dublin for an absolutely brilliant night, but leaving us much poorer in the pocket the next morning :)
The strangest thing of the weekend had to be the young girls, who were also staying at the Knightsbrook Hotel, who kept thinking that this bunch of Irish/Brummie boys, better known as The STAGS were "Australians" !!!!! :) :) :)
